A gentle class for those who want to learn and practice the basics of hatha yoga and proper alignment. We focus on connecting with our bodies by switching the focus of attention from our thoughts to the sensations in the body to literally feel ourselves better; practice synchronising movement and breath, noticing the difference between tension and relaxation, combining effort with an easy, relaxed attitude to achieve flowing movement. By investing our time and effort into consistent yoga practice we gradually notice the changes spread from our yoga mat into our daily lives. Yoga is a transformative practice allows us not only to shape our bodies but shape our lives too and start living with more presence, joy, kindness, gratitude, compassion and love towards ourselves, other people and the world around us.
Anastasia has been practicing yoga since 2012, teaching since 2016 and has completed a 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Course, Yoga Alliance Certified, in Mysore, India. She has also studied yoga philosophy through ancient yogic texts, foundations of Sanskrit, Mantra and Nada Yoga or the Yoga of Sound.
